Random Kitty Question!

So my cats have finally warmed up to my family and me and Sarah the Siamese cat has especially bloomed since we got her.  She sleeps with me every night and follows me around the house, meowing for attention.  She does, however, have a weird quirk that I don’t understand.  I’ll be sitting on the floor next to her, petting her, and she’ll be perfectly content and purring her little head off.  When I stop she’ll reach out and nip me on the leg/knee; not hard or fast or hostile (her ears and pupils stay neutral).  Usually, it doesn’t hurt.  It just scares me more than anything.  I also noticed she only does this with me, not any of my other family.  Does anyone know why she might be doing it?

  2. maryrosemary answered: Yes, definitely affection. If the biting bothers you, you can correct the behavior & she might switch to the adorable head-bump, which I love
  3. pandorascouch answered: Loves bites. If she’s not hissing or looking hostile, that’s all it is. It’s kitty for “I wuv you”.
  4. boxedcandle answered: it’s prob affection. biting might not be ok for you though, so give her a gentle tap on the head & say no, or whimper & pull your hand away.
  5. thesabbit said: We think we own them, but they’ve enslaved us. Mine would wake me up at night biting my fingers to pet her. One time I thoughy I was smart and layed on top of them. She climbed on my pillow and bit my nose. Cutest thing ever. XD
